Fiscal Conservatism

Centerville has a great tradition of being fiscally conservative. We live within our means and prepare for the future. The current council is committed to continuing this tradition.

This council voted unanimously to raise property tax rates this year because it was the fiscally responsible thing to do. We had been pinching pennies for too long in areas that were going to cost us much more if maintenance continued to be deferred. To continue to “kick the can down the road” would be to burden future generations with enormous costs. I will continue to encourage finding creative ways to get more bang for our buck, without sacrificing the high quality that makes Centerville such a great place to live.
