Positive Economic Development

Being fiscally conservative is a good defense, but in economics, it is also important to play strong offense. We need to actively seek economic opportunities for our city.

I will continue to encourage quality planning which invites successful businesses to our community. We have plans in place for a high-end business park west of the freeway that will provide a needed job base for our city. I support this plan.

In addition, our west side has untapped potential and I will continue to push for proactive planning in this area. Our Pages Lane are and Main Street are due for revitalization. Will we do this in a way that is economically productive for our city? That is what I would support. And of course, I will continue to support plans to help our existing businesses compete and succeed.
